Competitive coaches and administrators in most soccer clubs are paid - this need for money turns youth soccer into a business and drives up the registration fees for both the competitive and recreational leagues of that club!  Most youth cannot afford these fees.  The result > they do not play.

Carlsbad AYSO is a 100% volunteer organization.  Coaches and administrators are NOT PAID, yet they are certified.  This allows us to offer a full season, uniform, fields and professional training for the lowest registration fees out there!  This also allows us to offer scholarships!
